I watched the entire season in a day and managed to get the first episode of season 2 when it aired and was pleased but it did feel a little lacking compared to the first season. As someone who has never seen past the first half of season 2 of Breaking Bad, I didn't know much about Saul going into this show but now I want to see more of his character as well as Mike. The entire first season was great aside from a few slow points, but overall was very well done. I decided to see if maybe this show could do for me what Breaking Bad couldn't and wow could it ever! I love the character of Saul (still James McGill) and I was hooked from the first episode and couldn't stop watching. So I had no desire to watch Better Call Saul until I saw an ad for the new season two days before it started. Subtle jokes throughout make the humor great. We get to see Jimmy before he was a big shot lawyer. Bob Odenkirk's fantastic portrayal of Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad carries over into this show yet there is something different. With as little spoilers as possible, we start off seeing Saul or as he is known before the events of Breaking Bad, Jimmy. It started off giving us answers that we had at the end of Breaking Bad and left us with questions for Better Call Saul. This was a however fantastic first episode. Does that make it a bad show? Of course not. But in all honesty, that was not gonna happen. I do not think this was as good as the first episode of Breaking Bad. Since everyone is gonna be comparing the two, i will as well. This was a The follow-up to Breaking Bad.
